Resmed Airsense 10 to Loewstein Prisma

Post by akadk1612 » Sat Jun 28, 2025 5:09 am

I had a ResMed Airsense 10 auto and got on really well. It developed a fault and I've been sent a Loewenstein Prisma max. I can't use this at all.

Despite having the same tube, same mask and same adjustments, my mouth fills with air which forces itself out with a gentle pop.

To ensure it was the machine and not the mask that had deteriorated, I switched back to the Resmed. That was perfect. (apart from the fault noise).

I'm guessing it is probably the settings on the Prisma, but I can't see any difference between that and the Resmed settings.

Do you have any advice as to which settings may help to stop this, please?

Actually post the setting, so we can verify them.

One difference is EPR, on your ResMed you have EPR set to 3, on your prisma the equivalent is only set to slight.

Thanks. I'll look at that. With the scales being different, I wasn't sure what to use. I'll try a higher one.
