Had my first compliance appt. today with my ENT and it went pretty much as planned.
Nurse asked me if I thought cpap was helping, and I said "Yes, but that I also knew it was my compliance review" -- she replied back "Smart answer."
Talked to my doc a little bit, he asked if I thought it was helping ... replied yes, but off the record it's been a bit so-so... but overall worth doing. He checked my records, saw that I was easily compliant, leaks but he didn't have suggestions there, besides saying someone in another office whom I never even seen sometimes helps apnea patients.
And that was about it. I told him about this board and how it may be helpful to new patients and how my supplier was a pain (which he said all pretty much were, although he did seem surprised they didn't offer mask fittings or multiple replacements). I also commented to him on bleeps for patients who dislike masks, which he was unaware of -- basically I think he got more out of the appt than I did.
Anyway, just mentioning it as I recall at least one here being unsure how to approach their review. Seems as long as you are compliant and say that you think it's helping, you'll be good.

Find your mask model on YouTube and watch some videos on fitting and adjusting.

Re: My 2 month compliance appt
For 15 years my annual compliance check at a pulmonary doctor clinic was done by asking, "Do you use CPAP for at least 4 hours each day?" I replied yes and that was it for another year. 3 years ago the clinic began asking for MyAir reports which I have yet to provide. I am told each visit now they will contact my DME for a report.
I've gotten good advice here concerning CPAP therapy as well as other online sources but never from my DME, doctor, or maker of my machine. I am pretty sure the clinic that handles my CPAP prescription has very little knowledge about CPAP therapy. I mention things I've learned about CPAP and they go blank. I hope your ENT will take more interest.
