4 month trip to europe next year, looking at travel machines
We will be schlepping our stuff on trains and busses as we travel. Looking for something lightweight. See the Resmed airmini, but says it won't use my Resmed Quattro full face mask. Anyone have experience using that mask with the airmini? If so what parts did you need to purchase? Tks Bill

If you are going to be using a travel machine for four months, I would first use it at home for a couple of weeks. Some people find travel machines do not treat them as well as home machines.

Why not use your home machine? Is size an issue? I think moat all home machine power supplies are dual voltage.

Size & Weight! We will be using trains to get from city to city and the less weight we carry the better. (not to mention bulk)prodigyplace wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 9:41 amWhy not use your home machine? Is size an issue? I think moat all home machine power supplies are dual voltage.
I used to travel to europe for work a couple times a year, and these things are just to big and heavy to deal with. -Bill

Use the Mini with an adapter, or use a Breas Z2 with no adapter needed.

Re: 4 month trip to europe next year, looking at travel machines
I’ve been in the same boat, I used the AirMini on a 3-month trip to Europe and had to figure out a workaround since it doesn’t support the Quattro full-face mask directly. I ended up switching to the AirFit F20 mask, which is compatible with the AirMini.
It wasn’t my first choice since I was so used to the Quattro, but once I got the right setup, it worked great. The compact size made it easy to pack, which was a lifesaver with all the train and bus travel.
Before that trip, I rented a car from https://realcar.miami/ while I was prepping in South Florida. Having a reliable car made running last-minute errands and getting to the airport a lot easier.

I use the AirMini when I travel; though I don't usually travel 4 months in a row! I use the Airmini hardcase (small) and an electronics organizer to carry everything else (mask, hose, usb stuff to recharge etc...). I use the F&P Evora FFM, so i bought a Snuggell adaptor on Amazon. It works great.
It's more investment, but I'd already recommend a USB-C adapter for the AirMini power. Also available on Amazon, a small box replaces the entire power supply, and you plug it into a usb-c port. You need to have at least 65 watts on your usb-c charger, but likely you'll have a usb-c charger anyway for cell-phones, etc... This reduces the amount of stuff you have to carry into a small set of 2 bags; makes it easy to stuff into the sides of a suitcase or backpack.

Re: 4 month trip to europe next year, looking at travel machines
I just got back from a 3 week trip in Europe, and I brought my Breas Z2 Auto. It's much smaller than my Airsense 10, and I always like to pack light. It doesn't feel as natural breathing as my Airsense, but it's "good enough" in my opinion, and makes it much easier to travel than hauling the case with the Airsense 10. Even when I travel locally, I only use the Z2. I had the Z1 before that, and it fell to the error that many others had with it. I was able to get a discounted replacement, and I like the Z2 much better than the Z1.
