osa for 20 years now new to central apnea

I've had "severe" obstructive sleep apnea for a very long time and have been basically at peace with my machine and my sleep pattern for some time. A couple of months ago I noticed a big jump in events per hour each night for several days. From <5 to 11-16 per hour. I scheduled an appointment with the sleep doc for annual visit and she told me that I was now getting central apnea events and what that meant. I was stunned and surprised! Never knew anything about Central Sleep Apnea until that moment.
She said not to worry about it and it would probably diminish on it's own. Might be related to meds. The events did diminish until I was hospitalized for pneumonia a few weeks ago and they came back in big numbers 25-40/hour. Most of the events were central or CA - clear away events as ResMed calls them.

Now as I look at my Oscar data, I've been getting mostly central events since 2021! I had no idea! I get an occasional night with 14 total events but with pneumonia, it was extreme, understandably.

Please help me figure out if these non-pneumonia days are truly Central Events and understand where they might be coming from. I've seen some comments that setting the EPR(?) level to high can make things worse. and sometimes the machine thinks a person is having a CA and they are half awake. These charts also look like I'm maxing out on the pressure during these times of CA's.

what else do you need to know?
thank you in advance!

Please turn off the calendar on the left side. It's not needed and it's hiding useful information.

Please post a current report and not one from last year or last month.

Please verify your mode of operation....I see fixed cpap mode but I don't see auto for Her mode at all.

Here's the one thing you might try to see if it causes a reduction in those centrals.
Turn EPR off or at least reduce it from 3 down a bit....or even use EPR during ramp only.
No guarantees but it might help.

And: Where did you get those incorrect machine settings from? As Pugsy noted, that's not how your machine is set, not is it how it was set in February.
Who was the last person to set up your machine and when was that?

here is more detail from last night and settings
the AHI numbers on this night are quite low but the device is reporting Central events

Please review the desired format for the graphs.
viewtopic.php?t=158560

If you are going to do snippets please include the entire (non zoomed) report as well. Snippets alone make it hard to see or understand context.

Can you post last night's report but without zooming in on anything? There's not enough centrals in that report to warrant worry if that is all you see. Your hyponeas worry me more than the centrals. You are fast approaching pressure needs that the for Her mode doesn't handle so well.

On the right side...these graphs
Events
Flow rate
Pressure graph (not mask pressure at all)
Leak
Flow Limitation

On the left side graphs
Overall AHI breakdown and settings brief, Statistics and if there is room the settings section

So you end up with something like this. Not enough room on left for machine settings in total but there's enough available to evaluate the report.
