Found out I'd have to have another sleep study. That would be worse than staying with Apria.
Thanks for your comments.

Assuming you want to have your insurance pay their share......
You need to contact your carrier for your Medicare Advantage plan and see who they might have a contract with.
Would do you no good for me to tell you some DME is great and your insurance won't do business with them.
Besides the coverage can vary from state to state and I don't live in Florida.

After you find out who is in your insurance network, you might want to ask your doctor's staff who is good. They tend to find out who the good ones are, if there are any good ones.

Or if there are any they would definitely not recommend, that could be just as useful. Assuming there is a choice of course.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 12:30 pmAfter you find out who is in your insurance network, you might want to ask your doctor's staff who is good. Re: After 13 years switching DME - Any suggestion?
I have the best DME ever. It is ME! I lost my DME coverage a long while ago, and have been buying on my own ever since.
I rarely need to replace an entire mask, I buy the parts and filters on Amazon, for absolutely NO hassle, and I have bought whole masks there too. As for the machine, during Black Friday sales last year I was able to replace my aging machine for about $300 from our hosts at cpap.com. Plus cpap.com has return insurance if I ever want to try a new type of mask. I'm very certain I've spent less money out of pocket than when I had really good DME coverage.
I can buy whatever I want when I want or need it. I don't have to play any stupid DME games. I don't have to meet any deductibles. I don't have to worry about CPAP police. There are no billing snafus.
I'm going on Medicare later this year, and I'm not sure what supplemental I'll end up with (plan to avoid Advantage plans with perpetual payments like the plague). But even when I have coverage again, I don't intend to ever go back to a real DME unless it really saves me a lot of money.
