Open sore bridge of nose

Post by Misterdux » Mon Feb 05, 2007 10:35 am

I developed a sore across the bridge of my nose using the ultra mirage full face mask and my home care tech switched me to a Fisher and Paykel Flexifit 432 full face mask. After three days I still have the open sore and a swollen area beneath it right on the front of my nose up high. I have been putting a bandaid over the area at night. Did someone mention moleskin on a previous post and how do I use it? Dave

The Hybrid sloved this problem, for me, last July.

Try putting the Moleskin on the mask, not your nose.

If you use moleskin PLEASE make sure that you attach the sticky side to the mask.

Personally, I prefer Nexcare Gentle Paper tape.

I seldom use the same interface two nights in a row. The reasoning is that each mask will ride harder on different areas of the face.

My most used mask is the Activa, have two and swap them every night. I"m sure that the straps are not set up exactly the same.

There is another thread regarding this same issue and same mask. Also, click on this link to read how others have solved this problem:
