Getting a US prescription

Hello, my son (18) has just being diagnosed with sleeping apnea and prescribed for a CPAP in Mexico City.

He has been through multiple tests, including a full-night, lab-made, polysomnography.

His Dr. recommended an Airsense 10 Autoset which in Mexico sells for about $1,500, while CPAP sells it for $450, a huge difference, even assuming that warranty would not be effective here.. I have no problem to ship it to a US address an bring it here, but the prescription should be issued by a US doctor.

I wonder if any of you may help refering a doctor who I can reache via Zoom or similar that can review my studies and (if he agrees with the diagnosis) issue a new US prescription.

I've seen many services sending a home test, but it's not practical since the device would have to be mailed to and from Mexico and I already have a more complete study.

PD. Preferably a doctor fluent in Spanish, since the studies are in Spanish, although the text can be translated and the graphs and data is the same.

Although there can be complications, finding a sympathetic person at a clinic who may be able to find some sympathetic Rx-writer with one of the following credentials in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) may be an option.

Are you sure you need a US physician's Rx?

Yes, CPAP.com accepts valid international prescriptions that have been translated into English. If the prescription is not written in English, the entire prescription must be translated into English on the original document.

Thank you very much. I asked another seller (Heartstrong Sleep) and they replied they need it signed by a US doctor, but CPAP is very clear.
