Just bought a AirCurve 10 VAUTO - Coming from AirSense 10 - What settings

Post by SouthSeaPirate » Fri Dec 15, 2023 10:33 pm

Hello all,

I just picked up a AirCurve 10 VAUTO for 120 USD. I've wanted a backup since I've had my AirSense10 for many years. And I couldn't pass up the price.

The AirCurve has CPAP, S, and VAUTO. And Max IPAP, min EPAP, PS, Ti Max, Ti Min, trigger, and cycle.

Of course Im new to the settings of this model. What are proper or at least close settings to the Air 10 using Autoset with 18 max and 10 minimum pressure?

TBC I have no issues with my AS10, so that's why I want it close as possible. For example, I know that EPR is max 3 on the AS10, so I set PS on the AC10 to 3.

Appreciate any help!

Ti Max, Ti Min, trigger, and cycle.
Leave these above settings at the factory default to start with. They work well for the majority of people.
You will want to erase all prior user data anyway and there should be an option to reset settings to factory defaults.
They may or may not have been changed by the prior user.

You need VAuto Mode to mimic your AutoSet settings of minimum 10 and max 18 with EPR of 3.

In VAuto mode set minimum EPAP to 7 and max to 18 and PS of 3.

Much appreciated as always Pugsy!

Last night I tried it with 18 IPAP, 10 EPAP, PS 4, and I did nudge Ti Max up .5.
OSCAR says I got a .12 AHI and I feel great :)
Im going to lower EPAP to 7 and give that a go tonight.

I personally prefer PS of 4 myself. Makes my breathing feel much more natural and comfortable.

Remember PS gets added to EPAP
but EPR gets subtracted from IPAP
