OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
Re: OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
If you set the scaling to 100% does OSCAR fit the screen again?

Re: OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
Edited for clarity:
When the scaling is at 100% I can see OSCAR 1.5 in full screen, and all of its screen.
When the scaling is at 150% OSCAR 1.5 is impossible, to use, OSCAR 1.4 works just fine.

Re: OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
Seems like you found the solution to the problem.
That's not a recommendation by Dell, it's a recommendation by *windows*, and it's making everything on the screen 1.5x the size it should be.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Re: OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
Not a solution at all.
At 100% the screen is illegible.
1.4 can displays fine with scaling, 1.5 does not. Clearly, 1.5, in my configuration cannot handle the display scaling.

Re: OSCAR 1.5 - Overfills Laptop Screen
My text size is scaled to 100% -- not any other size.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2023 3:05 pmSome of us set a larger font size, when we are overdue for new glasses.
Then forget what we did.
I wonder if that is what is happening.
Oscar 1.4 handles that with aplomb when the display scale is 150%, showing me a full screen with normal sized, legible characters.
As an experiment, I scaled the display to 100%, the text size to 150%.,
With the text scaled to 150%, the display to 100%, OSCAR 1.4 became illegible, though (not surprisingly) Office and Edge handled the change seamlessly. So too did Chrome, and HP Smart and the Whatsapp app. Other apps did not.
The bottom line is that OSCAR 1.5, on a system with the details I've given above, can't manage to handle display scaling the way OSCAR 1.4 does, and I can't use it. I hope the developers will find a solution.
