Resmed AutoSet pressure reading

Post by arij » Sun Jul 23, 2023 7:36 pm

I recently changed my settings on my Resmed 11 to autoset whereas before I had it in the CPAP mode at a constant pressure. In the morning I look at my summary and read the pressure. Is this pressure the average pressure for the night or the maximum pressure my CPAP reached during my sleep? Thanks in advance.

The pressure number shown on the LCD screen of the machine is what we call a 95% number.
A 95% number is just a number that reflects that the pressure was AT OR BELOW that number for 95% of the night.
The "or below" part is real important but often not understood completely.

It is NOT an average of the entire night.
It is NOT where you spent 95% of the night either.

If you want averages you have to use OSCAR and get those numbers off the report and you MUST have a SD card in the machine during the night when you are using the machine to get the reports from OSCAR.

Thanks for the explanation. I will get an SD card and download OSCAR.
