No matter what I do with pressures or pressure support I seem to have this garbage breathing pattern for 30 min to an hour after I go to bed. Then it smooths out and looks "normal" the rest of the night except for a few arousals here and there...but the flow rate looks flat like it's supposed to.
Is this period of breathing periodic breathing or something else? There are rarely any apnea events flagged with it.

Re: Periodic Breathing or something else
This is from a little later in the same night. Just posting an example of what I meant when I said breathing smooths out and looks more "normal".

Re: Periodic Breathing or something else
How long is it taking you to actually fall asleep?

Re: Periodic Breathing or something else
Honestly, I don't know. I don't think it takes that long. That breathing pattern is pretty much from the time I put on the mask, I'm awake, for 30 min to an hour or so...which I assume I'm asleep...but then it just levels out. I usually have a cluster of events flagged at the very beginning of the night...usually CA, or OA or both....but it's right at the very beginning. Positional maybe...? I just don't know why I have the weird stuff at the beginning and then everything seems to be ok.
