I have what seems to be moderate Central Apnea (they ordered me an ASV machine to try).
But in the last few years I've had 4-5 surgeries under general anesthesia...even up to coronary artery bypass. It has always gone great - they tell you to count backwards from 100 and by the time you get to 98 you are awake (post-operation type of awake) and in recovery.
