Hi,
Got a DS 2 in the recall, and not sure what to do with it. My main machine has been the Resemed S9, and I am unlikely to change it for now.
If anyone has used a DS2 I'd appreciate the input. Would it be a good Travel machine? Are there any advantages to the DS 2 over the ResMed? The weight is 2.3lb s versus 1.8lb for the S9 with no Humidifier and 3.5 pounds for S9 with a humidifier. So it's lighter than the S9 with humidifier and heavier than the S9 without humidifier.
I don't need a backup machine since I have multiple other ResMed machines.
Options include:
test it and then if okay, use for a travel machine.
Get an adapter for my 12 v backup battery and use it in power outages.
Sell it with no testing as a zero hour machine.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

This forum is not Dream Station friendly. Many members do not care for Philips products because of a perceived inefficient CPAP algorithm and Philips' poor handling of the foam recall process. If you are successfully using a ResMed product, consider a ResMed product for a spare. Selling the DS2 sounds like a good option. Expect limited interest on and a low sales price for the DS2.

Don't forget Philips' encryption the data at rest on the DS2, thus removing the ability of its customers to effectively self-manage.FifthAvenue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 7:59 amThis forum is not Dream Station friendly. The OSCAR team cracked the encryption. But, if you are a DS2 user, you will always be one software update away from OSCAR incompatibility.
These forums may be Philips unfriendly, but said unfriendliness doesn't stop members from helping them with questions or their therapy.
