Itchy Scalp

Post by jeepdoctor » Sun Jan 28, 2007 3:41 pm

I have been on CPAP since last July. I use a CL2 nasal interface device. I am completely satisfied with my therapy and results. I am not having any problems from a therapy/health standpoint. No problems till recently, that is.

About a week ago my scalp started itching during the day. The itch is under where the strap lays at night. It's all I can do to control myself from scratching like mad.

Anyone else had this problem? Ideas? Help!

do you have psoriasis or excema? How about allergies?

Probably your best bet... is to ask padacheek.

Mix Listerine in with you shampoo, about 20%, let sit on hair 5 minutes or more. KEEP out of EYES!!!! Works for me! Jim

just pm her... she makes covers for all kinds of masks and straps. Her website is http://www.padacheek.com

She can probably help you out with something specific if it isn't listed on her website. I know that she helped me with mine.

Padacheek is wonderful and always willing to help figure out a solution. She is in chat most evenings. PM her or e-mail her and she is certain to have a remedy!

Earlier version yes

I experienced a reaction immediately from the back strap upon using the ComfortLite which I take to be the earlier version. I stopped using it and the itching went away in about a week. I stopped primarily since it was a free temp until my Activa arrived. But for the 2 weeks I did use it the itching was making me go insane in the membrane.

I also recommend trying Pad-a-cheek for a strap covering, otherwise switch out the strap with a different material strap.
