F30i mask, Should device setting be "Full Face" or "Pillows"?

What device setting do people like for a F30i mask? The manual says "Full Face", but my son's DME used the "Pillows" setting.

First my dad, a new CPAP user, switched from a mask that didn't cover his mouth to the F30i to use with his AS11. I was jealous and replaced my discontinued F10 with the F30i for my AS10. I set the device setting for both devices to "Full Face". When our son started treatment last month, we recommended the F30i to him. His DME used the "Pillows" setting. Have anyone played with the settings to see if it makes much difference?

Reaching at straws here. I'm wondering if changing the mask setting from "Full Face" to "Pillows" would possibly help reduce my dad's flow limits. We're blessed that my dad has been willing and able to use his device, and that it is helping him. But he has no clue when his mask is leaking or not. Now that I have a F30i as well, I'm wondering if he sometimes doesn't even have nostrils lined up with the holes in the cushion, and perhaps that is a cause of the flow limits. I'm hoping to get a new batch of data from my mom tomorrow.

The F30i should be set to Full Face.
