Getting a new Resmed 11 shortly

Post by exauditor » Thu Oct 13, 2022 11:57 am

My Resmed 10 is over 5 years old and I'll be keeping it as backup. But I have a Resmed 8 that I would like to donate. The donation would include a number of sealed headgear pieces and a number of Swift 2 nasal style as I had to switch to full face masks. My supplier said bring it in and we will handle. OK, but I hate to see them clean it and recycle and sell it as it works fine. Anyplace that will send me a shipping label and just clean it and give it to someone in need? an individual is need is fine too, just don't want to pay $50 shipping to give it to someone.

There really isn't a market for a ResMed 8. No commercial company is going to devote resources to cleaning it and finding a person, for it, it's of little value to a new CPAP user because data isn't an option.

Create a topic (or rename this one) to Free ResMed 8, for cost of shipping. Then throw it away after a couple months of nobody responding. It's not worth the cost of shipping.

BTW, naming a topic Getting a new ResMed 11 shortly, is a terrible name, for a topic about donating a ResMed 8.

Personally, I prefer an 8 for travel over a 9 or 10. I have a 9 and a 10 I could use for travel but still use an 8. Built like a tank. Great padded travel case with plenty of space for portable hose management and adapters and the like. Road worthy.

Old 10 for backup. Old 8 for travel. Just sayin'.

I recently learned of a place to donate durable medical equipment and you might try searching local to where you are. I found a conversation about it on the app "NextDoor" and it was referred to as Medicare donations.
