No you didn't. That's my opinion of what will happen to Phillips or at least the CPAP branch of it. They've lost customer trust now. I for one will not go back to using a Phillips machine for sure.

in his second sentence- "since I got the Dreamstation2 due to the recall". i reckon he hasn't put together the recall and soclean.
so who's to say whether philips has lost trust or not. plus, there are a LOT of users out there who don't know anything about the recall. all they know is what they are using. and they may continue to use.

A lot of people won't be going back, that's understandable and expected.
But, paying people anywhere from pro-rated to full retail would have cost them a lot more, it would not have retained customers, in fact it guarantees their next purchase would be from a competitor.
You're business knowledge/opinion is suspect.

I just highly doubt that the Respironics division of Philips will ever shut down. I suspect there's too many independently owned and operated DMEs that don't know any better and exclusively only sell Philips Respironics CPAP machines to consumers in this case, the DreamStation 2s, even after the recalls. AmericanMed, my local DME in Stockton, California knows of my issue with the white foam that disintegrates from the machine and ends up in my airways, they also were affected by the original foam gate. Yet they continue choose to exclusively partner with Philips. It also seems in my eyes that the FDA, Medicare, Medicaid and the major insurance carriers don't seem bothered by foam gate, thus they will continue to allow Philips to retain their Respironics division, and shoddy business practices.

I registered my Dreamstation on 08/04/2021 and shortly thereafter paid out-of-pocket for a Resmed AirSense 10 Auto Set, pending the Phillips replacement. Fast forward to today...I spoke with Phillips and was told my replacement device had not yet been ordered but it should happen before year end. More gobbledygook.
I would consider a reimbursement option if one was available.

I received an update from Philips yesterday (22 Sept 2022) and a request to use the “Dreammapper” app to upload the prescriptions from the machines to their servers for my wife and I. No dates on when the replacements will be sent, but the pace of messages and data requests have picked up in the past few weeks.

Earlier this week one of my three system ones said it was just requiring a prescription from my doctor, which i was able to get faxed to Philips. In the status it said the replacement would be shipped within 30 days of submitting the prescription (and it being processed).
Today, all three of my system ones that i had submitted/registered (last year), have a new status- it says the unit is not repairable and has exceeded the life expectancy - and they give a choice to continue the remediation process or getting 50 dollars for the unit if you return it.

I just re-read the status- technically they are still giving me an option to decide what option I choose- so out of curiosity, I am going to choose the option of continuing remediation-
Below is what it says on the status page from Philips about the Options you have to choose from:

Financial payment for return of affected units: Removing affected products from use is an important part of our remediation program. I recently had a physical visit with my sleep specialist. The clinic is still using the old recalled titration devices for sleep apnea diagnosing. I'm curious if Philips will ever make new devices for the sleep clinics?
