Swift straps cover ears or too tight - any help?

Post by swifty » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:40 am

Hi
I've found with my Swift mask that i can't get the headgear to fit comfortably. I find the Y joint where the straps split into 2 on the sides is right over my ears. If I pull them back behind my ears it hurts my poor old ears and then I also need to tighten the straps too much so it pushes so hard against my nose.

So the only way I can wear it so the pillows sit comfortably is for the strap to cover my ears and I hate the feeling of anything covering my ears.

Seems like straps are made for medium to small head sizes not big head size like me - no jokes please - Or perhaps my ears are further back on my head than most other people.

Does anyone know of a replacement strap/headgear fro swift that allows more flexibility of different head sizes or shapes?

Gidday fellow Aussie,

I'm from Bathurst. I use a Swift too and really like it. Here is a link to a bunch of tips for Swift users. Have a browse there, I think you'll something that will help you.

Just to let you know I have a large size head also, hard time finding hats in my size, the straps on my Swift go behind the top of my ears, and I keep them on the loose side of adjustment, could it be your's is adjusted to tight. or maybe the nose pillows are at the wrong angle, making you lower the straps to fit your nostrils, in turn causing the straps to be lower on your ears. In any case hope you find relief.
