Compliance reporting

Post by Mel0806 » Sat Aug 27, 2022 9:13 am

My insurance (Medicare) requires compliance of 4 hrs use per night. A couple nights ago, I turned my machine off to get up. I was gone about 3 minutes and returned and turned my machine back on.

Next morning when I downloaded data from SD card to OSCAR, it showed 2 periods of less than 4 hrs each separated by 3 minutes and reported 0 compliance. A human could see that compliance was achieved but the algorithm apparently does not.

Obviously, turning off the machine is a no no for compliance reporting but it seems stupid to have to let it run. Is there any other way to achieve compliance short of leaving machine run?

All hours between noon one day and noon the next are combined to show the total hours for the day. It doesn't matter how many times you turn on and off the machine.

There's good information from this trusted web site:

https://www.uofmhealth.org/conditions-t ... compliance

One take-away: you don't have to show 4 hours each and every night. I'll also add that the hours don't have to be during the night or while you're asleep.
Oscar software is available at https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/
