The forum connects to the internet, Encore Pro connects to the MYSQL. Jim

The bugs should be gone, they sprayed last week.

Re Bugs

Hi Nucommer,

I've struck this sort of thing before. Please don't access the link below for another 69 days.

After extensive research I discovered that they decided to
shut down the internet for cleaning for twenty-four hours. This cleaning is necessary to clear out the "electronic flotsam and jetsam" that has accumulated in the network. Inappropriate comments, rude and obscene comments, any jokes that aren’t funny, inactive ftp, www, and gopher links will be purged. The cleaning will be done by five very powerful Japanese-built multi-lingual Internet-crawling robots (Toshiba ML-2274) situated around the world. During this period, members are warned to disconnect all devices from the internet.

This message is generated from the "Interconnected Network Maintenance Staff, Main Branch, Massachusetts Institute of Technology."

Any inconvenience greatly regretted, but we’re sure you will understand.

Reminds me of a practical joke I played on a friend of mine. He was having phone problems, so I called called his phone and left the following message on his answering machine:
This is Bob from Mountain Bell. We have receive your report about noise in the telephone lines. We are going to be blowing your line this afternoon between 2 and 4:00. It is important that you not use the phone during this time. We recommend you place all your phones in plastic garbage bags to catch the dust that comes out of the phone line during the line cleaning.
A friend told me that he was over at my victims house and reported that the victim had a phone cord running out of a garbage bag where the phone normally sat.

I'm still wiping the tears from my eyes -- awakened early and loved starting the day off laughing so hard! Thanks all!

Yes sounds like the website was having database problems of some type (phpBB uses MYSQL as its data store I believe). It seems to be cleared up now?

Actually, no. PHPBB2 (this forum) connects to MySQL, and Encore Pro connects to Microsoft SQL Server. Any MySQL or PHP errors you see when looking at this page are most likely not your fault and should be fixed in short order by the admins on the site.
