Maybe the FDA didn't approve it for OTC sales?

Don't know why but from a little reading that I did ....apparently it was for sale to the general public for around 3 years at around 500 bucks. Apparently they got a new CEO and when asked about it not being available to the public anymore he told people that the company was going in "different direction"....makes me wonder what direction is better.
It was apparently approved for 3 years by the FDA.
We actually have a couple of forum members who own one of the Dreem devices I think....at least one that I know of and I thought there was a second maybe.

Apparently they turned it into a type of Health Group. You have to enroll and are then assigned a care team (sleep specialist, technician, CBT therapist). Looks like communication is through TeleHealh, and they bill your insurance (if they accept Dreem Health). Seems like they only currently offer the service to California residents, but expect to get licensed in other states soon (???).
So they found a way to make a lot more money with the dreem unit then just selling it to the public!

Used units are going for about a grand on eBay (dreem v1 & v2)
There are US versions and rest of world versions.
FDA didn’t approve the pink noise emitting versions that supposedly improved deep sleep.
So US firmware versions are more limited.
There are online reports that Dreem Tech Support were less than helpful with hardware and account problems.
Caveat emptor.

They weren't selling enough to pay their bills.

They should have taken a clue from the now defunct Zeo (I think that is the name) people and what happened to them.
I just love it when any gadget tells me that it will help me sleep better. Knowing how one sleeps, or doesn't sleep, isn't a fix for bad sleep or short sleep.

Some of you members need to spend the next 10 years in a socialist state. Maybe they would change their tune about capitalism.
