Hi all,
Just finished my home study and got my results and prescription. My pAHI is 38.89% so is pretty bad. I want to say this forum is a godsend with a wealth of information. I was overwhelmed at first but I feel a little more knowledgeable now.
Since my insurance is a 5k deductible and I have almost no chance of hitting that number, I am going to buy the machine out of pocket.
Looking online, the cheapest I can find for a ResMed 11 is $949 at Hart Medical. Is any better pricing out there? I would actually prefer buying from cpap.com as i live in CPAP's hometown, but they are $200 more.
I will buy the mask from them and I had ResMed F30i in mind.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

Re: New CPAP User
Not really, but it's important to say which Resmed you want - full name and model, also a good idea to fill out your Profile so that info goes under all your posts so everyone knows what you're using and can reply with some direction. Also please stay in this thread with all questions re above, re subjective 'feelings' re Cpap, OSA, etc. and anything else remotely related so we can follow your story. The 11 is new, but the 10 actually seems more popular for technical reasons others will tell you about... and the 'For Her' model is best - algorithms etc (and it's not just for her - wish they wouldn't have named it like that, but everyone).

iPuck getting the right mask is often the most difficult part of the therapy. Everybody's face is different and a mask that I might like could be uncomfortable for you. Try to get a deal where you can swap the mask out after a reasonable period if it is not suitable for you. Otherwise trying to find the right one can be a frustrating and expensive exercise.

Thanks for the comments.
I lived 10 minutes away from cpap.com''s office in Houston.
I will buy the mask from them as they have a 30-day mask return policy.
Still trying to found a place cheaper than Hart medical for the machine.
I am getting the ResMed 11 autoset I assume is only 1 model.

The Airsense 11 comes in three models: CPAP, Elite and AutoSet. You don't want the CPAP which has sub-par data reporting. The Elite is a fixed machine with full data and the AutoSet provides automatically varying pressure with full data. The AutoSet is the one to get.I am getting the ResMed 11 autoset I assume is only 1 model.

Just bought the Resmed AirSense 11 AutoSet from Hart Medical for $815 total. Pretty sweet deal compared to other places.
There are Hart coupons out there if u search for them.
