Phillips recall and no dme

Post by Hornnumb2 » Mon Apr 11, 2022 12:49 pm

From what I read in the new info, they are going through DME for replacements. Not sure what that means for me since I don't have one and purchased my machine from a member.

I bought my DS1 online. I registered with Phillips and was assigned to a DME. I'm still waiting for the replacement.

sorry to say, but pretty sure you aren't going to get a new machine.

i bought mine through cpap.com and haven't seen anything since i had an "update" letter from philips from november of '21.

people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Any idea if I can go just to bipap from bipap asv. I can’t post some data to be looked at. Just no way I can afford a new asv.

No idea at all because we don't know why you were on the ASV. Sorry.
If you were on ASV for having a lot of central apneas....the regular bipap/bilevel machines can't do what the ASV does to treat central apneas.
They don't have a back up rate and they don't have PS that can auto adjust. They only have a fixed PS.

Machines not purchased through a DME do not really "exist".
No manufacturers warranty, no recall; but it does not count
against insurance time limits, should you get good insurance in the future.
If that is not possible, make your NEXT purchase online or from an individual.
