Dry mouth and eyes with a jump in AHI

Post by CreativeChris » Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:10 am

Hi guys - I have been very successfully using my AirCurve for a few years now. All of the sudden I have air leaking from my mouth when I exhale and wake up every few hours with my mouth dry as a bone and very dry eyes. Also my AHI went from maybe .2 up to 2 almost over night. I use pillows - and I love my p10 mask. The only thing that I can think would cause it is that I had bariatric surgery a month ago and am down 40 pounds and perhaps the pressure is too high. Has anyone experienced this?

how long have you been using the P10? does oscar show any new leaks?

i'm asking because it's known that the straps on the P10 can become loose over time. taking off the straps, putting them in a laundry bag and running them through the washer/dryer with your clothes will shrink those straps right back into shape.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Thanks Zonker! I actually have them replaced every 3 months and have the new adjustable strap and it stays tight. Any other thoughts?

As Z said, are you using OSCAR? If so post a few screenshots as recommended by Pugsy.

If not, then the best thing you can do is install it, pop an SD card in your machine, screenshot the report, and post away. This way the smart kids can look at it and offer advice.

Until then you can pull leak info off the “Sleep Report” screen assuming you have essentials set to “plus” in your settings. Be sure the sleep report interval is set to “1 day” to avoid averaging.
