Hi Pugsy: Are you a supertester for Bleep? Do you have any inside details on this new and improved model coming out this summer or are you restricted by a NDA? Thanks.

I don't know what a "supertester" is in your mind but I have Beta tested some versions of the Bleep but not all the various changes to models that have been in R & D.SJ-Paddler wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:21 amHi Pugsy: Are you a supertester for Bleep? I am not the only one....there are some other forum members here who have also Beta tested some versions. Not to mention the Beta testers who aren't forum members...various doctors' offices and DMEs and whomever.
And yes...as with most people who Beta test anything there is a NDA involved...ResMed does it...Respironics does it...we have forum members here who have Beta tested other brands. We find out after the product gets released.
And even if I was involved in the minute day to day stuff (which I am not)...If I told you I would have to kill you.

There is some public knowledge about the new model though.

I know that about all that does is confirm there is a new model in the works and doesn't give much detail as to what it entails. Since it went public...I can share that link though.

Sorry "Supertesters" is what we call people who get to try future changes to video games in game before they are rolled out to all users for testing and tweaking. Only the best and long time players get chosen for that. So yes, Beta Testers.
I am very interested in Bleep and think I will give it a try once their updated version comes out. Reading reviews everyone seems to agree it is a great concept just some have issues with details like port attachment mechanism and ease of lining up and applying the tape.

How have your first nights of Bleep gone? Enquiring minds want to know.
My first night of Bleep was a failure because I evidently didn't master the attachment of the ports to my face (although they seemed to be attached and positioned well) and I went back to my Airfit P10 mask. The blast of air (at 11 with no ramp) from the Bleep was scary to me because I have at least one broken bone in my face from a fall and it felt like a vacuum cleaner blower hitting me at full force in the face. I think I may have to wait until my broken bones are healed, or until I change the setting to use a ramp or a much lower starting pressure than 11, and/or until I figure out how to attach the Dreamports so that there is no leak. I tried 3 times cleaning my face and reattaching everything before I gave up on the first night, and succumbed to out of exhaustion.
I LOVED how the Bleep mask felt before the air started and wish I had found this mask about 12 years ago, when I first started using CPAP/APAP. . Even before the fall, I have had problems with the feel of straps on my face, due to TMJ problems, and the Airfit P10 has been the lesser of the evils, although it has caused other non-CPAP related problems and I have to adjust it frequently while trying to sleep or get to sleep.

Re: Bleep Mask--Any handy hints for transitioning to Bleep mask from Airfit P10?
So my first night was a failure. Like others have stated, the setup was so different that I panicked at the first bit of trouble and went back to my pillows. I was able to attach everything after watching several of the videos. But apparently I hadn't attached it all well. At one point my hand hit the setup and I knocked one of the ports loose. I had just turned out the light and was very tired so I gave up.
But nights 2 and 3 went much better, EXCEPT today my skin was very irritated on one side from the adhesive -- it seemed to almost pull a bit of skin off and hurt. It was raw and ugly and I treated it with hydrocortisone. I have very sensitive skin with Rosacea and many sensitivities. I sent an email to Bleep to ask for advice and in a short amount of time received a call from Stuart, the inventor. He gave me a few ideas including trimming the adhesives to be much smaller and point toward my ear, not toward the eye.
So I'm going to try again tonight.
I also installed Oscar and reviewed my data - I really don't know what alot of it means, but my leaks were zero for the past two nights. My events were slightly fewer too. If I can figure out the skin issue I think I will be a fan. Oh - and I am using the free two week trial. This is a great idea. Stuart also hinted about the new product coming out this summer. Looking forward to that!

Was your water usage also drastically reduced? Mine was drastically reduced - I'd say I was using 1/3 the amount of water on Bleep.
If distilled water keeps going up in price as it has been, the savings in water usage alone might put a dent in the cost of the Bleep!
