BiPAP backup rate setting

BiPAP backup rate setting

I have Resmed BiPAP Aircurve 10 VAuto.
The clinicial manual has Backup rate parameter in s mode, but my Resmed has no such parameter.
The clinical manual state also: " Note: Not all parameters are available in all regions "
Is there a way to enable Backup rate by changing the region?
What region will enable the Backup rate?
If I change the time will the region be changed? If not how to change the region?

Buy a machine sold in a different region (asia, I believe).
