Tell the dealer if:
--Noise has progressed to a point that prevents restful sleep.
--Compliance data is at least sometimes unavailable.
I have used these observable conditions to justify replacement
after 5 years/17,000 hours.
It worked, but I have original Medicare. YMMV, of course.

Some people that want a new machine think of it like a status symbol..."I want the newest and the best".....even though it may work no better than the previous model...After all, CPAP machines just blow air. The features of the S9, AS10 and AS11 are virtually the same.

I*m no longer using it,. but my antique HEALTHDYNE has ~35,700 hours and still works fine. It has no run-time meter, but I used it faithfully for over 14 yrs. before I retired it for a SULLIVAN which died after~ 15,000. hours.

My condolences.
On the bright side--think about DMEs having to sell their boats.

It had already been suggested to keep your old machine as a backup.

Happily, I had done that before my Dream Station 1 was recalled. I was able to use a very old machine (from 2005) for about three months from the time of the recall until the time of the arrival (unannounced) of my Dream Station 2.
