Mask Help Please...

Post by Fuzzel » Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:37 am

Hi
I tried the airlift N30i but had to go back to the Airfit F20 with memory foam (open mouth breather) and I am waking up every couple of hours with air leaks. Are there any tips or tricks to keep it in place? If it's loose it seems to pulsate on my face when I breath. If it's too tight I get a headache, when it seems comfortable it only stays in place a short period of time. What am I doing wrong? So frustrating!
Thank You!

finding THE mask and/or getting THE fit is the hardest part of these cpap shenanigans!

try going to you tube and searching "mask fitting videos n30i" and watch a couple of them for tips.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

If the F20 is otherwise OK, maybe try it with a silicone cushion instead of memory foam? Both types fit the same frame. I found that the foam is great when it works but leaks can be severe and the life of the cushion is a lot shorter than the silicone.
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ

I have no medical training or qualifications. Take my advice for what it's worth.

Hmmm....

Yes, there are fleece liners.

The left field part was "from memory foam ..."

It was half in jest but I might just try it with the 3 FFMs that don't work for me.

I have tried cotton-T material without success.
