Opus HC482

Post by Ichabod » Tue Jan 16, 2007 1:31 pm

For all those interested, I just got an email from F&P that says that the HC482 Opus nasal mask has been released in the US. It currently has limited availability and there was no pricing information in the email. It is recommended to pre-order it through your favorite DME.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

Today I visited the DME office to check whether they have the HP482 in stock. They do not have it yet but said it can be ordered. The price is CA$195 (no taxes added here). It comes with 3 size pillows, small, medium and large.

Although there was none in stock, they have a sample to inspect ant try. I was well impressed with the design as it advances the minimalist concept of the Swift.

It feels really light, non-intrusive and comfortable. However when trying it with pressure, it leaked and it was not easy to adjust. The DME said that it is a perfect fit in 100% of those who use small or medium size pillows but with the large size as in my case, there are sometimes problems due to the design and depending on the size/shape of the user. He has reported this to Fisher & Paykel and is awaiting for a response.
