Re: How much did your sexual function increase after using cpap? (For Men Only)
You should probably see a doctor about that.
The sooner something is diagnosed, the sooner it can be treated.
Apnea is not always the cause--just fairly common.
My youngest brother died of colon cancer--essentially, he died from embarrassment.
You need to rule out the really bad things.

You should definitely see a doctor about these issues as there can be many causes other than sleep apnea. For example, diabetes can cause these symptoms and it's important to catch diabetes as soon as possible to prevent worsening of conditions.

Re: How much did your sexual function increase after using cpap? (For Men Only)
I have a reduced libido from sleep loss. But no erectile issues. Although I have heard sleep apnea can cause that. But as others have mentioned its probably a good idea to get med advice and see if its sleep apnea causing it or not.Cpaptorneke wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 2:51 amI have AHI of 16.6. I experience loss of libido and weak erection. I'm still young though. If I may ask, how much did your sexual function increase after using CPAP? Did it significantly improve your erection? It makes sense to improve sexual function because you sleep so much better with CPAP!
Thank you so much
Re erectile issues is it more just that you are not interested in the sex though? Or the person you are intending to have sex with. I think too often a lack of interest or lack of arousal is blamed on ED, which I think are two different things.

Man, it's been forever since I've been on here. I was posting on other threads about erections. It's been a couple of years for me now since I started having erection issues. I think I noticed some improvement with erections when I got back on my CPAP after about 2 years of being off. As some other people mentioned and from what I've learned, there are a lot of variables that go into erections, so yeah, like others have said, you should talk to your doctor. For me, I was worried about possible physical issues. I'm in my 40s but what I have noticed... I think I can rule out physical causes. I've been pretty sedentary and gained weight. As I've gotten active and dropped weight, I've noticed improvement with my erections. So that might be something you want to think about. How much exercise you are getting and if you need to slim down. The morning wood has definitely been better lately. I need some physical stimulation to get up when I want to perform. That's something that can be typical for men over 40 from what I have read.
