I received my recall replacement DS2 two weeks ago. I was very surprised to find that all the settings, except for the ramp pressure, were identical to those on my recalled Dreamstation. Moreover, the DS2 was already paired with my phone’s Bluetooth.
How did Respironics get these settings? I doubt they came from my DME because the DME wasn’t involved in my recall registration. In any case, the DME wouldn’t be able to pair the DS2 to my phone since they never had access to it.
Scary!

Re: Replacement DS2 Settings
When I powered up my replacement DS2 it received the settings via the cellular modem connection. If you had used your previous machine with Dream Mapper those settings may have been at the Dream Mapper host in their database and thus accessible to Philips/Respironics. My Dream Mapper account also showed the serial number of the new DS2 where previously was the DS1.
My DME was also aware of me having the new DS2 as well as I called about supplies and they said they already had the DS2 serial number on file. The DME may have had something to do with the settings also if they administrate the Care Orchestrator program for their customer base. Just a best guess how it happened.

Re: Replacement DS2 Settings
That’s a reasonable guess, but my DreamMapper software still shows my original DreamStation, as well as the DreamStation serial number.

They *have* them, they know what the settings were of the serial numbered machine that they replaced.greyhound wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 6:43 pmI received my recall replacement DS2 two weeks ago.
