Just curious if the machine can tell the difference between a leak at my mask / nose, vs my mouth opening and the air blowing out that way
Thanks
Does ResMed AirCurve know the difference between mask leak vs mouth leak?

No.
None of these machines can tell what any leak is coming from or the cause of the leaks.
To these machines...leak is leak no matter what causes it.

No, but if you analyze your flow curve using OSCAR, you could get an indication - http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... OK. I set up and used my Aircurve 10 Vauto last night for the first time. I really love this thing already. It's going to take some getting used to things and tweaking the settings (which I already did last night quite a bit).
The stats / myair app says I need to adjust the mask / get a better seal. It could be that, or a mouth leak, or both (probably both).
My plan is to use the new machine for several days with my current mask (airfit p10), then when I get a bit more used to the machine, switch to my new mask (swift fx) and see if that helps
I'm sure there will be a lot of trial and error with the machine settings, mask, and other stuff, but I'm excited for the possibility of one day starting to feel better.
After maybe a week I'll start diving into the technical data with your help, the software, etc

I'm with Chicago Granny -- good plan! Once you are able to post an Oscar chart, you might want to start a new thread or retitle this one. Something like: wannasmile's therapy thread. That way people will know it isn't just about types of leaks.
And congrats on getting a great machine!
