(This is NOT the product caught up in Foamgate & recalled. I have one of those, too, opened it & removed the foam -- it's also for sale if anyone's interested or wants to know how to fix their own. That model looks very different.)

At the risk of the OP getting upset at me for potentially "undermining" their sale.

• Many of CPAPTalk's target audience are those self-managing their CPAP therapy. This requires a data-capable machine, compatible with OSCAR
• Philips has encrypted the data on the SD Card, and therefore the DS2 is not (and may never be) OSCAR compatible
• There are a few DS2 reviews on Youtube, please watch a few before considering purchase

Zonker's appeal aside, I would not open the box. "Unopened box" has great appeal to many potential buyers.

There are certainly potential buyers here who are panicked over Foamgate. You might also find it easy to sell on Craigslist.

Yes, many of us will reject it out of hand due to the data issue. But there are many others who have no interest in looking at detailed data.

This is so true. My husband just put his mask on 5 years ago and fell asleep. He had a Dreamstation and used it until they sent him the Dreamstation 2. He was not concerned about the recall. He has never been interested in looking at his OSCAR reports. He sleeps now, the AHI is under 5, he's happy.

that's why i appealed to the buyers. if'n it were me, i'd want to make sure of what i was getting. i'd certainly want to see that it was indeed zero hours used.

maybe craigslist would be better, where there is no one to be concerned about such matters.

Well, if someone wants to make a serious offer, I'd open the box and give them photos, videos, whatever they want.

What's the best way for both parties to be sure the transaction is real? (I haven't done this before, obviously.)
