Get out yer "woolies" and longjohns!
If this front is still as cold when it gets to all of you as it has been here the last couple of days, you're gonna need to get bundled up. It's in the double-digits below zero here today.
We didn't get much snow (yesterday) but what we DID get was pretty light, fluffy stuff. However, is some places, it did make the roads a little nasty. I just looked at the web cams and it looks like it's approaching the southern part of Wyoming at this point......headed your way.......

Keep warm.

Looks like we dodged the bullet where I live. Only about 1/8" of ice on the trees and about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of sleet piled up. Could have been ALOT worse. 30 miles SE and E not so lucky. My home town of McAlester OK was hit really hard. Power out in the whole town from what I hear.

How about AltPwrPuffer, you still getting it? Looks like it might be mostly rain over in your neck of the woods.

A pic from in front of the house.

Fortunately we have been getting only rain for the most part. There was a little ice on everything this morning, maybe about 1/8 inch on everything but the rain has run that off. Nuthin but a big puddle on the ground. Currently running 32 degrees and rain but it may move in latter. So far at over 4 inches of rain! We're 12 miles north of Sallisaw on Hwy 59 on a ridge east of the hwy. Got the fire toastin right along! Charlie

Yes Pat, ice SUCKS!

Glad you dodged the bullet too, AltPwrPuffer. Rode my bike over that Hwy one time. Pretty country.

How are things out there for you all today? I hope everyone came through alright. From what I've heard on the news it still looks bad!

We just spent 2 hours beating a trail in the ice from the front door to the cars. I got out my tape measure and the ice is 1 3/8" thick in my driveway. This is built up sleet and freezing rain. Thank God it was mostly sleet.

Got the pick up out and tried driving down the road. Forget it! Not trying anything again until tomorrow.

Temps might get above freezing by tomorrow afternoon. If we could get to the hiway, we could probably get to town, but the 1/3 of a mile to the hiway is way too slick!

Also glad we didn't loose the power.

Just for the hell of it, I started this Flickr group of ice storm pics. If you have some post them, if not, take a look.

Neat pics! Amazing how beautiful yet deadly nature can be, all in the same breath.

Not familiar with "flickr", but would it work for all us cpaptalkers to post pictures of ourselves in full cpap gear and then we could have a little fun trying to figure out who is who??

Well, here we go again.

National Weather Service just issued a Winter Storm Warning for this area. We are forecast to get between 3 and 6 inches of sleet / snow.

Better go top off the battery.
