Just received my replacement unit from Phillips 2 days ago, I had the original Dreamstation, which has now been with replaced with the dreamstation2 advanced model. Since it came directly from Philips I'm not sure the machine settings are accurate for me, how can I set them to be comparable with the settings from my old machine, I am not versed at all with the understanding of charts and terminology but I do have the Dreammapper app and my AHI is consistently under 1. I can see the basic settings on the old machine which I will list below:
Pressure 16.0 CmH20 sss0 Ramp 8.0
Ramp time 0:20 FLEX 3
Humidification adaptive Modem on
Mask type off Tube type 15
Bluetooth on
Theses are the settings I put in my new unit:
Mode auto FLEX 3
Min pressure 8.0 Max pressure 20.0
Tube 12mm Humidity 3
Ramp+ 30min pressure 6.0 CmH20 EZ start off
90% pressure 6.0 Mask type X1
I am absolutely stumped by what ramp + is , it wasn't on my old machine. Do I need to tweak any of these settings on my new machine, I've used it 2 days but with factory settings, the above settings I just did today and haven't slept with them yet, I do wake up feeling a little drained and tired but my AHI is still low.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Another thing I noticed when I would turn old the old unit 16 CmH20 pressure would show on the display screen and on the new unit when I turn this on 6.0 pressure shows. I use the full face mask and I get 100% on mask fit.

Re: Dreamstation2 advanced replacement unit
The DS2 is essentially the SAME unit inside a new box,
(((except for paywall data encryption.)))
The same settings should work.
Others will be along to explain the stuff I don't know.

You can go here and request the clinical/provider manual to be sent to you via email.
In the manual it will explain the features and how to set up the machine to match you old settings.
Read it and then come back if you need clarification on something.
https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap- ... tup-manual
Instructions for requesting the manual are about 2/3 down the page. Be sure to follow them exactly.
It's not hard setting things up yourself once you know how to get to that setup area.
I suggest using the same settings as you used with the old machine.
OSCAR won't work with it yet but there is some limited data available on the LCD screen but you have to turn that feature on. Explained in the manual.
