I have just received my new RESMED mod 11..the white and black new model....lets see how it goes tonite....the 10 had 51/2 years of everynight use ... it appears to be fuction wise pretty similar to the old one..of course it has ab app....we will inform how it goes...

...the elite model or the new name but I think it is still called the elite...I like it but..there is always a but... my first night I got rain out..never had it before..what a trip it was....for tonight I am changing settings to auto rather than manual for humidity and temp lets see how it goes...another thing I thought that the machine was missing a sim card...I found that the new model even thou the slot is there they do not use a sim card because doctors can get access to the machine (?) .... the slot has a cover with an attached lookkalike plastic piece like the sim card
On another note I do have some spare parts from the model 10 that can not be used on the model 11...and if anyone needs some let me know ..I hate waste!!

You can reuse the sd card out of the airsense 10.
Not a sim card, to be picky--as we are wont to be.

My new resmed airsense 11 (ELITE) is now working fine...I had "rain out" the first night .. I did adjust the temp and humidity...next day after reading I decided to put both parameters in auto and it did work wonderful..slept all night without any incidents...the SD card (I called the sim card in error) is not present, the cover is attached to plastic insert that simulates the sd card, if I were to insert on then it will not be covered as it used to be in the previous model 10...spoke with the DME that supply the new machine (they are pretty good so far...I just moved to Florida and is the one used by my doctor's office) and they said that the doctor can now"dial" the machine so sd card will be needed..i will double check that, the 10 could also be "dial in" and also had an sd card.

I am satisfied so far, smaller footprint, auto on and off (according to when my breathing is sensed ....so the instruction say ...one complaint is that the water reservoir is tiny compare to the one in the model 10 ...careful filling with the destilled water, I spilled already once...
Supplies are not readily available yet ...they are begining to come in....model 11 in high demand since the other equipment recall lots of people trying to get the model 11 by resmed....

It's either "auto" or it's set to a number, which is manual, which you've said you already have it set to.

Thanks. I tested it again and I'm starting to think I might have just gotten a defective humidifier. Not sure if I should call Resmed or my distributor

....sorry for my stupid reply before...lol....I should have paid more attention..lol....but if you got the settings on the screen there is a setting for manually changing numbers..as I recalled dont have the machine next to me now

...now I need help, if anyone has gained some expertise on this new machine....This is my problem....machine is on ready to start therapy, green tiny light on at the big button on the top of the machine.....and when therapy begins it turns white

If I get up to go to the bathroom I press the big button once and machine pauses but continues blowing air at an "almost imperceptible rate.. I come back put mask back on and the machine starts automatically back on, I read that that is a "smarton" option that is set on the machine for when it notices that you begin breathing...I also read that there is a "smartoff" set up so machine stops when no breathing is detected...

Now my problem is in the morning, I slept 8 or 9 hours no problems at all, if I remove the mask the machine continues blowing air, so I press big black button on top of the machine and it stops, but it continues to blow air at an "almost imperceptible rate", a soft blowing of air, also I noticed the symbols on the screen that indicates "cooling of water chamber". All is fine but the problem is that the machine never stops that "almost imperceptible blowing of air". Now out of desperation I unplugged the machine from the wall and THAT stops the "almost imperceptible blowing of air" and the "cooling tank indicator" disappears.

Should I try to check if the "smartoff" function is properly set on? and if so how do I do that.
