Was recently switched to an F20 from an older F&P Simplus. I really like the way it fits without a plastic bridge on my forehead
However I think it is really noisy in comparison. The noise is all coming form the tube/mask and I have no idea what it is. No leaks just whooshing air noise especially when breathing in
Is it just me? Or has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Resmed F20
I love the F20 and don't notice any noise. I previously had the Mirage Quattro. The F20 is superior in almost every way, fit, comfort, ease of cleaning. I haven't experienced any noise issues. I have had issues with the mask staying together. Quite frankly don't remember if it's the mask or the cushion. The current combination of mask/cushion seems much better than an older combination, maybe some leakage when its not "good and tight".

Re: Resmed F20
I'm using the F20 as well, and it is the quietest mask that I have ever used.
However, the caveat is that you gotta be using the latest quietair elbow. Take a close look at your elbow and if you can actually see the vent holes all around the interface, then you are not using the quietair one. The quietair one has a plastic cover and fine fiber mesh covering the vent holes, that's what makes it so quiet.
Any other noise would be leaks, so please check your mask fit also.
Might be good to post some pictures also, so we might catch something that might otherwise go undescribed...

Additional Comments: Uses a Dreamwear hybrid full face mask for travel as it packs a lot flatter than the F20. But it's a little noisier. |

Re: Resmed F20
Does your mask have the old style elbow on it? The new elbow has a baffle in front of the air discharge holes that make it a lot quieter.

Re: Resmed F20
The F20 is one of the quietest masks out there. I suspect there is a loose connection somewhere between your CPAP->humidifier->hose->mask, or maybe something is wrong with your CPAP.
Re: Resmed F20
I use the F20, alternate between the AirTouch and the AirFit, and there is no noisy from either if it's fitting properly.shockedCABG wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 4:21 amWas recently switched to an F20 from an older F&P Simplus. I really like the way it fits without a plastic bridge on my forehead

Has to be tight, or you'll get some leakage and noise, usually a very slight whistling, near the middle edges.
I find I can slightly loosen the upper straps, but need to keep the lower ones tighter.

Re: Resmed F20
How do you know? Did you check the leak statistic from your machine?
