It has been over two weeks since I started with a cpap and I have tried the airfit N20, which i can exhale from, but it hurts my face far too much. My P10 is the best for face pressure, but I cannot exhale so I take it off.
My idea is to take a 1mm jewelry bit and enlarge a couple holes so I can exhale. Anyone try this?
Has anyone ever added a hole to their mask? I have a p10 I cannot exhale in

Have you tried the exhale pressure relief or Aflex feature on your machine as was suggested previously?
I strongly suggest not messing with the mask as what you want to try likely won't achieve what you need but will be irreversible and may well affect any warranty or insurance involved.

What pressure setting(s) are you using?
Are you using ramp?
Are you using EPR exhale pressure relief?
No....it is NOT advised that we screw with the vent holes with any mask.

When the p10 mesh gets clogged, I use the water pic to pressure wash the crud out.
But that much dirt takes a long time to accumulate; and your mask is new.
Try going up a size on pillows, or turn on EPR--it worked for me.

Yes, I have messed with the pressure, but it did not help.

Which absolutely does not answer any of the questions you were asked.rubystandingdeer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 8:23 amYes, I have messed with the pressure, but it did not help.

PLEASE stay in one thread moving forward. i would advise you to start a new thread called, for example, "my therapy thread". this makes it much easier for the folks trying to help to keep up with you.rubystandingdeer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 8:23 amYes, I have messed with the pressure, but it did not help.
thank you!
to those trying to help, this is what ruby said in answer to pugsy in another thread-
"I have a resmed 10
I have the ramp set at 30 mins
the pressure is set at 4-8
Does this help?"

Do what Pugsy suggests.by Pugsy » Wed Aug 11, 2021 12:02 pm
The ramp is useless when the minimum setting is 4 to whatever.
The whole idea with ramp is to gradually increase the starting pressure to whatever the actual set pressure is.
The machine can't go below 4 cm...and if the minimum pressure setting is 4 cm...there's nothing to ramp to.
Also at 4 cm ...EPR can't even kick in to help.
And a lot of people say they can't exhale at 4 cm when in fact the problem is they just aren't moving enough air to be comfortable.
A good trial setting ...in auto mode or fixed mode.
Minimum of 6 and EPR set to 2....and turn off ramp totally.
Try it while awake and see how it feels.
Report back with results.
