Brand new Reamed 10-broken or did i do something wrong?

Post by Cupcakebaker » Tue Jul 27, 2021 8:59 pm

My Resmed 10 was a gently used one...works fine.
My wife got a brand new out of the box one and the machine will not turn on.

I tested everything I can think of. My machine will work with her power cord.
Hers will not work with either.

Since it is new, I figure i must be missing a simple thing.

Any ideas?

Exactly the same thing happened to me. The machine would not turn on. The power brick worked fine.
I made arrangements and returned the faulty device to where I got it. They immediately replaced it with
one that worked. This was just before the PR recall. I doubt things will happen quickly these days, but be
sure to ask for a loaner machine.

I have noticed that some plug receptacles in the back of the machine are very tight. Sometimes you can plug in the cord and it feels like it is in, but it needs to be pushed very hard to make it actually connect.

I also have noted that on one machine. I am not sure that was the problem on the machine I had to exchange, but it could have been. Whatever the problem was, Resmed had no problem replacing it under warantee according to Acbio.
