Oscar data question

Post by Sleepingbaby » Fri Jul 16, 2021 6:51 am

I have created a spreadsheet to compare my daily Oscar information.
My question is why does Unclassified Apnea and Obstructive switch places every few days.

In my oscar daily details is listed as:

Cheyne Stokes Respiration
Large Leak
Clear Airway
--Obstructive
--Unclassified Apnea
Hypopnea
RERA

then it will switch the order for a day or two and then switch back:

Cheyne Stokes Respiration
Large Leak
Clear Airway
---Unclassified Apnea
---Obstructive
Hypopnea
RERA

So when I am moving the information to my spreadsheet I have to watch where I am putting the numbers.

That's probably your problem. You are overthinking. Obsessed with minutiae.

What's wrong that makes you think a spreadsheet will help? Maybe some members can help you without needing such detailed data.

I would focus on AHI vs leak rate.
The rest, I only save as a trend reference,
as daily fluctuations are meaningless.

Are you referring to the order in which the indexes are shown in the left sidebar on the Daily page?

I love lists and spreadsheets. There is magic and calmness in the details.
If you feel I have a problem with them then that is your problem.
I am tracking the differences in what makes up my AHI to see if there is a trend I can deal with.

This is more a programming issue as to how it generates the list.

I just want it explained as to why it flips and maybe find out if anyone else noticed.

I would just like the question that I asked to be answered and not information about what numbers to watch or ignore.

Yes I am if that helps to clear up understanding my question.

Seems a good question for Gideon on http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Forum- ... oard-Forum. He's the Project Manager for OSCAR. He and other developers may be here as well but using a different nom de plume...

I think you need to open up a few more spreadsheets, you're not showing very much calmness.

Yes, thank you. I wanted to be certain that was what you are referring to before I look at the code.

My question is why does Unclassified Apnea and Obstructive switch places every few days.
And the answer is: the different channels have "sort order" numbers to force the index list to appear in the desired order. A few channels, such as Obstructive and Unclassified, have the same sort order numbers, so I imagine the sorting process will be ambiguous.

This will be fixed in the next release of OSCAR.
