APEX ICH APA machine

Post by braddw25 » Thu Jul 01, 2021 3:41 pm

HI everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with an APEC ich auto cpap machine. I bought one to use as a backup while I get my dreamstation recall issues resolved. My problem is that a pressure of 16 mm H20 works best for my therapy. This machine is set at a minimum pressure of 4 and maximum of 20. My wife woke me up last night to tell me that I was snoring VERY loudly and holding me breath. I looked at the machine and it was only providing 13 mmH2O of pressure. Is there any way to change the min pressure setting to 16 so that I can ensure I have the needed pressure level? Thanks for any info that anyone can provide.

Bradd

Never heard of your machine (where are you?), but know that most clinician manuals can be found on Apneaboard.com's website.

If you don't have the owners manual, you can download it here: https://www.respshop.com/manuals/iCH+AU ... Manual.pdf

Page 8 says you can enter the setting mode by means of the menu button. Once in the setting mode, therapy pressure can be adjusted.

Thanks very much for the response. I do have a manual and tried to do what it said. However, pushing the up and down arrows do not change the the therapy pressures. The min stays at 4 no matter how many times the up button is pushed. I am wondering if you have to get into the clinical mode or whatever it's called as I had to do with my dreamstation. I just don't know how to do that and was wondering if anyone else knew.

Thanks,

Bradd

Yes, pressure settings are commonly done in the "clinical" setting.

I have the same machine for the same reason. To change your settings, hold down the up and down buttons together for a few seconds. When the display starts blinking, you can change the value. Hit menu to save.

All in all a good little machine, but I'm not happy with the lack of a dc power supply. Camping with this will be impossible without an electric hookup.

Even so, it beats the crap out of sucking toxic foam all night.
