might have bricked my Airsense 10

Post by fasttimes » Thu Jun 17, 2021 3:28 pm

I just got my new Airsense 10, and immediately started to tear down my old one. I didn’t get to far into it, but the screen no longer comes on, much less does the pump start. I believe I have all of the connections plugged in properly, but obviously I did something wrong. If anyone has any suggestions on getting this thing back to turning on, I’d appreciate the advice.

It doesn’t appear I’m getting power to the on/off button. I hooked up my meter and the board is getting 24V from the power adapter.

Here's a pretty thorough teardown of an AS 10.

Perhaps there's something in there that might help.

That’s what I was using for the tear down. I suspect I must have fried the circuit board somehow. Though I never had it plugged in when tearing down. I’m kinda bummed. I was hoping to repair this old unit as a backup. I can’t find any on eBay. I was hoping to buy someone’s old one whose pump is noisy/defective. Looks like it only has a few soldering points and the LCD ribbon

Check your local Craig's List and Facebook Marketplace. I found my spare machine on Marketplace.

Why did you open it up in the first place?
Why?

I suppose you learned something . . .

Sleep on it (not literally, heh) and tackle it again tomorrow. Maybe it's just something simple.
