Your AHI looks good. Leaks also are at acceptably low rates, provided they don't wake you up.

I see three breaks in therapy; what were the reasons?

And you spent a long time in bed; is that normal for you? For most people, 10+ hours will actually be too much, leaving them less refreshed during the day.

Over all, things look fine. Are there particular issues you're wrestling with? It'd help to know more about what prompted your questions.

Do you take any medications? If so, what?

Answer Miss E's questions please.

As far as the report goes....I don't see any need to change anything based on just what the report itself shows other than the breaks in therapy thing which tells me you aren't sleeping so great. Now why you aren't sleeping so great is the million dollar question.

Pulmonologist visit in 30 days, What do ask?

Post by paxnn » Sun Jun 13, 2021 10:10 am

In 30 days I visit my New Doc, old one moved out of town.
I am at 20 over 16 cm, do I ask to lower the pressures?
If I am, again, offered Pulmonary Rehab, should I accept? Just what is "Rehab"?
I am on supplemental O2 @ 2 Liters, should I ask to lower that?
The previous Doc was like "you are fine, see you in 6 months, bye-bye".
New Doc, fresh relationship, do I push for change in treatment?
Would I need a new titration/sleep over, for a change in treatment?

Basic 101 Cpap Questions.
Is increased Volume a goal.
Is a higher Resp. Rate a goal.
Is a restful sleep my only goal?
I posted a screen shot of Oscar data in another post, so I will not upload a copy with this post.
Any and all comments, or links to information, is welcome.

I have Sleep Apnea and Pulmonary Hypertension.

The breaks in therapy are just getting up to piss.
I have Pulmonary Hypertension and use supplementary O2. I was told to use the rig even when not sleeping, to saturate with O2.
At my next doc visit, I will ask if I still need to do this.

So helpful would have been to add this to old post so we don't have to go looking for info...

Next office visit I will ask to get off the Lasix.

How about I move this post and combine it with the other post?
So it is water under the bridge but water I can fix.
In this situation the information here is much needed in that other thread.
I can combine the posts.

Now to remember how to combine threads...
Will take a few minutes to refresh my memory...I don't bother doing this very often because it is extra work and most of the time not a critical issue.

Okay...merged but when we merge things the date and time posted sometimes looks screwy. Nothing I can do about that but I think people will understand.

We don't know why you are seeing the pulmonologist in the first place...was it just the sleep issues or did you just have respiratory/lung issues and the pulmonologist was also the sleep specialist?

So really can't answer any lung function questions. We don't know if you have lung function issues.

Maybe not the only goal but definitely one of the primary goals. Without good quality sleep none of the other stuff matters much does it?

Long story short version: I was in the hospital and they put me on a cpap. It was the best sleep, most restful, in years. Now jump forward, I want a cpap! I needed a sleep study, so I needed a Pulmonologist. Did the study, titration. Got my machine. Doc now did a stress test, which I failed. So O2 24 7. Blood thinners. The sleep apnea caused the lung condition, which caused my heart to fail, which landed me in the hospital. But I got my cpap now! Now if I can find a mask that does not leak.
