I have a new Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet using a Swift fx nose pillow.
I had been sleeping great for a number of years but 2 months ago started having issues of waking with fast heart beat a few times a night. Since I have an overbite and some excess weight around my neck, it was thought a full face mask might work better. Tried it but after an hour or two each time, I felt like I wasn't getting enough air, so increased pressure and still didn't seem to be enough. Ended up going back to my comfy nose pillow.
I'm sleeping a little better but not like it used to be and wondering if you can chime in what you see on the graph I'll attach below.
I have used tape over my mouth as that seems to be where the most leaks are coming from and recorded, but that's not the most comfortable feel. So I've tried full face, tape over the mouth (which does seem to work better, but just not comfy) and still not getting the sleep I had been for years. I'd say I'm at about 70% of where I was.
Lastly, I generally feel pretty good in the morning but my eyes feel like they didn't get much rest oddly enough. Lol.
Thanks for any suggestions and thoughts you all may have.
Pat

Re: Can I request an Analysis please
Your pressure barely rises above the minimum IPAP of 14.8. If those were my charts, I would lower the minimum to 13.0 and rerun the analysis the next morning. A lower minimum might be more comfortable and might help with leaks.
I've used various tapes and about a year ago settled on Somnifix. I use it under a FFM. Which FFM do you use.

Thanks ChicagoGranny…
My FFM is a F30i mask. I’ve actually not thought about that scenario… using the tape with the FFM. Hmmm…. I think I will try that after your suggestion to lower the pressure with my pillows!

Re: Can I request an Analysis please
I have used the F30i and liked it "except" the nasal holes tended to shift eventually during the night.
The strip between the two holes would end up partially covering one nostril and the other hole would shift toward the septum.
It would cause me to feel somewhat starved for air.
I have no idea if that is happening to you, just thought I would bring it up.
Might try another style Full Face mask (if you can find one you can tolerate).
Good luck.

Jimbud…
I didn’t realize that could even happen so thank you VERY much for mentioning that. It could very well be happening to me indeed!! I do find it very comfortable so I’d like to be able to wear it regularly but not with the current way it seems to starve me for air as has happened to you.
I’ll give another FFM a try!!
Thanks
