Why are they still around?
1: suckers
2: BRIBES
They really should be gone--or at least produce a product that will actually DO what they say it will.
That would be in a perfect world--but we can not have anything close to that unless we all pitch in.
Some people prefer to be PART OF THE PROBLEM instead of the solution.

None of what is being said scares me. I am using my SoClean2 and I think SoClean would be in trouble if half of what is being said is true. Anyhow I do clean my stuff the other way too.
Nothing is being said, I don't believe, to scare you, but rather to inform you of factual information. The FDA has even warned against this device and others like it. Have you read the article?
https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/saf ... chines-and

Folks have posted information related to CPAP machine manufacturers saying the warranty on their machines is voided if damage appears to be from SoClean or devices like it.

Obviously the choice, and possible risk, is yours whether you're going to use it. Not sure, though, that it's a good idea to just brush aside what CPAP manufactures and the FDA have said because you believe the company "would be in trouble if half of what is being said is true." At some point I believe they will have to provide warnings if not outright banned for selling them. But the bottom line is...no one needs something like SoClean for their machines. I have 14 years of healthy CPAP use to prove it, and there are others who have many, many more years than this that can say the same.
