Any tweaks with this?

Post by sleepyone101 » Tue May 04, 2021 7:10 pm

I have a resmed s9. My set pressure is 8 and I have a start pressure of 4. The maximum ramp time is 45 mins. The epr level is 1 and the epr is set to full time and the epr inhale is medium. Do those settings sound alright or do you suggest something different?

Elite CPAP
Autoset
Autoset for Her
VPAP S
VPAP Auto
VPAP ST
VPAP Adapt (AutoSet CS)

or this list-

S9 CPAP SE
S9 Escape CPAP
S9 Escape Auto

i'm trying to see if the machine you have is supported by oscar software/

Turn off the ramp altogether - you're wasting all that therapy time going from the machine's default low of 4 ALLL the way up to... 8 ? Or at least change it to e.g. 5 mins if you must. I would change the 4 to 6 as well and the 8 to 12. Let us know how that goes - in this thread please.

According to your past posts you are new to this forum but not new to cpap therapy and have been using cpap for several years.
Is this correct?

We have zero idea about what settings you should be using because we have no idea what your past settings were or even if they were optimal or not.

In general though...for people who have been on cpap in the past and they get a new machine I think it is probably best to start with whatever settings were used in the past of something very close to it. Heck for all we know they might have been working perfectly for you.

If you go changing things a lot then you may not be comfortable with the different settings and may not sleep so well.

Which S9 model did you get? It's important because not all models collect detailed data so the software available may not benefit you if there is no data collected.
