REMstar (non-M) CPAP - New vs Old

Post by snorestats » Mon Jan 08, 2007 4:12 pm

Curiosity Question...

I've seen 2 slightly different REMstar CPAP machines. I'm talking specifically about the non M-Series. One version has text on the buttons (for heat, ramp and on/off) while the other has symbols instead.

Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2? Also, which one is the "Newer" version?

I don't know. But if I had to take a guess I'd say the ones w/the $%&^ icons is the newer. All this "world class" horsepuckies bit, you know.

I can still read "Gas" and "Food" faster than I can "read" a picture of a gas pump or a picture of a knife, fork, spoon and plate. By the time I "read" those *&$% highway icon signs, I've already passed the exit!! (Wicked grin)

In fact, with all due respect, I think its the opposite of what Slink said above. My REMstar Auto came from Respironics in June'06 (after the M was introduced)and has text on the buttons, no iconographs or symbols.

Cheers!

Thanks for all the due respect, Chuck. But I was just a guessing. I've got a Resmed S8 Elite so what do I know?

(I like my Elite - but this loaner RemStar Auto w/C-Flex was nice. I liked it. Had to return it today tho and pick up my replacement Elite).
