In my dreams maybe. Unfortunately the truth of it is that the virus gets to mutate more when people refuse to take it seriously, and eventually the mutation gets to be one the vaccines don't work well with. Like the so-called South Africa variant.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 10:43 amNatural selection?
I know--bad froggie--schadenfreude overload.
It's a lot easier to wear the mask than explain/debate why not.

That's wonderful! I'm a bit behind reading the boards, but saw your first post and was hoping you would somehow be able to get an extra dose before your scheduled appointment. I am so glad you were able to. Congrats to your daughter...have a wonderful day at the graduation!Janknitz wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 2:16 pmGuess what!
I have a friend who is a nurse and working for one of the vaccine places. She called me last evening because they had to open a new vial for their last appointment and had 5 extra doses. I got my shot! This is perfect timing for my daughter's medical school graduation as I'll get my second dose of Pfizer on April 24th, and I should be good to go in time for traveling to the Vegas area for her big day (being held at the UNLV Basketball arena with plenty of room for social distancing).
I am so happy and grateful. Not just that I will be able to attend her graduation, but I realized that the fear of getting Covid has been hanging over me this entire year. I support my family, and my biggest fear was getting too sick to work.
I am so grateful. I'm a little achey and tired, but nothing worth complaining about (though I just did)
