Yes.

You can turn on AirPlane mode, or you can take it apart and disconnect the modem.

Once a year, my pulmonologist's office downloads my data from the net.
Then they are able to confirm my usage, forcing Medicare to pay their share
of expenses for my machine and accessories.
The rest of the year, anyone would have to be bonkers to even want to look at my data.
