original test showed AHI- 8 RDI- 84, I know centrals aren't necessarily picked up accurately on watchpat
I bought an airsense 10 instead of an aircurve but wondering if I should have purchased a bipap? My OSCAR shows continuous clusters of centrals and I am waking up breathless still on my CPAP. My symptoms have gotten worse and I'm still not sleeping well.
this was on a good night-https://ibb.co/TwfVmtK
lowering/raising pressure hasn't made much different. My dreams wake me up nonstop and the clusters are showing before REM. One night, I was not breathing in my mask whatsoever.
should I have purchased a bipap?
Re: should I have purchased a bipap?
With an AHI that low, it does not look anything like CA. Try reducing the EPR from 3 to 2 for a couple nights to see if the CAs reduce a bit. Also...I you have ramp turned on, turn it off. (You do not need the AirCurve).

Re: should I have purchased a bipap?
Alright. I'm just confused as why I'm not sleeping fully through the night and the pressure is waking me up at certain times. I'm still feeling terrible.
Re: should I have purchased a bipap?
Are you aware that right now you are using this apap in what is essentially a bilevel/bipap mode?
Why do you think that maybe you should have gotten a bipap?
If changing pressures seem to disturb sleep....set your minimum to 8 and maximum to 8 and turn off EPR and see what happens.
If you can't do without EPR to fall asleep...set EPR for ramp only and make use of the ramp.
There's nothing here pointing to needing a bilevel device at this time unless you were thinking bipap for centrals and if that is the case...not enough of them for one thing and not all bipaps deal with centrals anyway.
You have to really know all the various bipaps/bilevel models before going down that road.
